Gems of My Crown ~ Toward, Forward, Backward, Inward, & Outward

It is common in American slang for us to add an S at the end of words such as toward, forward, backward, inward, and outward. However, the S is only used with these words in British English. In Standard American English grammar, we drop the S on these words.
