December 2025 Writing Update

December 2025 Writing Update

This year marked the official beginning of my blog, so I decided to offer a writing update for the end of the year, especially since I haven't dropped any new books this year. I know my most loyal fan base is probably out here worried because they know I have a two book per year minimum for releases. Not to worry, you guys! I've still been in the lab and have some things working!

I've been working on a three-part series for a little over a year now (it's probably closer to two years, honestly), and I initially thought I would end up dropping the series in the latter part of this year. However, I chose to write the entire series all the way through before beginning the revision process. Once I finally finished writing and began editing, it took a bit longer than I initially thought it would. I'm really big on consistency. Most of my loyal readers know that. Consistency takes quite a bit of effort when you're a pantser by nature because during most of the writing process, you're out here just winging it. I have to note information like character descriptions, timelines, location information, etc. as I go, but oftentimes, some of the smaller details end up being mixed up, which is why I'm so strict about my editing and revision process. I did quite a number of revisions on the three books to make sure all the details were completely consistent throughout the series. I also rewrote a few of the scenes because they just weren't sitting right with me as they were. This, of course, took time, and the release I hoped to schedule for late this year just wasn't plausible anymore.

Now, however, all three books are with the editor. I'm hoping to start the new year strong by releasing the first book early in the year, hopefully before the end of January. Why the doubt, you ask? What's holding me up? Well, there's another problem. I still don't have titles for the books. Now, I know what you're thinking. How did she write books she didn't have titles for? Most times, I do have a title picked out before I start writing a book, but that's not always the case. In fact, Living in His World of Lies--which was initially one book, not a series--went through about half a dozen names before my original publisher and I settled on the final title. The titles for Flirting with Danger and The Risks of Danger were chosen after both books were completed. So, this isn't an unusual occurrence for me. What is unusual is the length of time it's currently taking me to figure out what I want to name these books. I just can't figure it out, and it's causing a delay in the process.

Without titles, I can't finalize covers for the books. Therefore, I can't do a cover reveal. I can't post any upcoming release information or create graphics or content for it because there's no name of the books. Hopefully, I'll get this worked out soon and you all will see release information posted on my homepage and socials. Just keep an eye out for the information because it's coming soon. I promise.

In the meantime, I've already started plotting and done a bit of writing on the first spin-off to come from this series, and I think you guys will like what I have in store for this one. There will also be a second spin-off, which I have ideas for, but I haven't begun any work on it yet. I also hope to get all of these books--all five of them--released in 2026. Bear with me because what I have in store for you guys, I know you'll enjoy!
