Bookstock 2026 Recap
Share
I had the honor of participating in the Memphis Public Library's Bookstock 2026 event on May 2nd! This is a very prestigious annual event. Spots are limited, and they fill up incredibly fast. I've been trying to get into this event for three years, and this year, I finally got a spot!
So, let's recap!

I was assigned table 27 in the main conference room of the Benjamin L. Hooks Library. The event usually takes place in the lobby of the library, but they're installing an escalator in the lobby, so it was moved to the conference room this year.

Set up has been a breeze for me since I've been doing this for quite a while now! It's always nice to have a bit of help from one of my helpy helpers, though! Lol. Since the Literary All-Stars event in March, I've added a slideshow that displays on the corner of my table on my MacBook now. The slideshow is a collection of images of my book covers, series collections, and author service price ads.

All the authors were rounded up at 10:45 to take a group photo! There were over five dozen authors on the roster to attend!
Then it was back to the table for me to prepare for the arrival of the first readers!

I was visited by so many of my family and friends this time! Shout out to Daniel King and Tamara Pelkey for stopping by! My sister Quita also stopped by with her husband Jared and my adorable niece and nephew. My mom even got my grandmother out the house and brought her by!

From left to right: My mom, Regina, my grandmother, Ruby, me, and my daughter, Aniya. Four generations in one picture!
I'm so blessed to still have my grandmother in my life! She's 89 and still kicking!
It was a great event! An overall success! I got to connect with new readers from different backgrounds and sold some books! What a great day!
